Decisions Decisions
In this first ensemble I'm wearing a tartan shirt, rep stripe tie, and oxfords (all vintage) along with Gap shorts and a Banana Republic belt.
Here I wear a the same vintage oxfords, and Gap shorts. I also wear a children's school uniform shirt that I purchased at Kohls for like $1 or something ridiculous, vintage suspenders, and a vintage Oscar de la Renta tie.
Ok, so these are the two outfits I've came up with for the much anticipated "Champage and Fried Chicken" event (ha). After looking through the pictures I think I like the one with suspenders best. However, I do love how the rep stripe and tartan play off one another... hmmm? I think the suspenders make the out fit a little bit more special. These shorts were actually women's pants from the Gap that I had tailored into shorts. I think all of the shorts I wear used to be pants except, of course, my pleated balloon shorts (you probably see these soon).
Unfortunately, I have to work at 10AM and then go straight from work to the party so I have to decide what to wear by 9AM. Ugh, so stressful.

Thrifted Shirt, Thrifted Tie.
This is a shirt/tie combo I recently bought. I was getting ready for work and decided to have an improptu macbook photoshoot. It turned out kind of shitty but don't you love the pattern on the tie? It's so 70's...I die. It's vintage Pierre Cardin. The shirt is vintage as well. I thought they looked nice together. The watch is from Urban Outfitters, I mean Rolex, clearly. Now, off to fold clothes and organize mountains of ballet flats for 94875 hours.

Blazers and Loafers
Here I wear a blue velvet blazer, pink pocket square, Dior belt, and Cole Haan loafers, all vintage. I wore these items with a white v-neck and gray skinny jeans, both American Apparel.
I like all the contrasts in this outfit. The loafers, gold watch, and pocket square are very preppy, however the fit of the blazer and jeans combined with the fact that I don't shower makes me look like a yuppie gone bad. It's as if I'm the child of a former Lehman brother employee... I mean...
I wore this to my family's Christmas party where I proceeded to hide a handle of vodka in the bathroom and take shots periodically throughout the night. This way I didn't really care that a few of my family members were looking at me as if I was dressed ina space suit or something. It was a splendid good time if you ask me!
In other news, I am still kind of confused as to what to wear to this party I have to go to this weekend. I found out that the theme is Champagne and Fried Chicken (is it spnsored by Dsquared? I mean...). I'm thinking short shorts, oxfords (no socks), my school uniform button up, and one of those Oscar de la Renta ties I have... probably the blue and red one. We'll see what I come up with.

I Will Be Doing This Soon...
The Facehunter posted this image a few days ago. I love how he used a simple handkerchief as a neck tie. I'm going to do this as soon as I find an appropriate opportunity.
In other news, I will be attending a holiday party hosted by the owner of a local upscale retail store here in bustedville and I haven't a clue as to what I'll be wearing? I REALLY want to wear a colonel tie but I feel like these people are older and will think I'm a lunatic if I wear a colonel tie. Maybe, I will suppress my clownery, or maybe I won't?
I shall update with photos of my outfit whenever I finalize the details!

My Favorite Christmas Present :)
I got this from a very special friend the other night! I'm obsessed with it! I want to wear it everyday!
Now, I have to make sure I find something equally as impressive for him... let the search begin!
I promise I will post pictures of all my thrift store finds tomorrow! Besides those lovely sunglasses I got a velvet blazer that is so sexual I can't stand it, two ties, and a pocket square. I hope you all like everything!

Look What I Found...
So, I went thrifting today in search of new items for my clown wardrobe and I found all sorts of goodies including these two pairs of sunglasses! I almost peed my pants when I saw the circular ones. I mean, aviators are dime a dozen these days, but those circular specs are amazinggg!
I will update with the rest of my finds later. For now, dinner and then debauchery!

What I Wore to the Moovies...
I went to the movies tonight with my family and THIS is what I wore. The outfit as a whole is pretty boring if you ask me but I LOVE this scarf! I just bought it yesterday. It's from Urban Outfitters and it's huge, haha. It's actually a real Keffiyeh (it says so on the tag!) and is supposedly somewhat controversial. Apparently, it used to be sold at Urban as the "anti-war" scarf but then they had to pull it and rename it the "desert scarf." Geesh, you can read all about the Keffiyeh here...
The rest of my outfit is American Apparel and then suede boots are J. Crew.
I'm somewhat disappointed with myself right now. No, not just because I'm such a hippo that these two awkward shots are the only ones I would dare post online, but because this outfit is SO boring. The scarf is the only thing I find remotely interesting! Hmm... this is intolerable! As my soul mate Mary-Kate Olsen says: "everything I do has to be visually appealing to me."
I'm going thrfiting tomorrow (and the rest of the week) with the goal of finding something a little more visually provocative... a kilt would be exciting!
I will update with my finds as I acquire them!
I've been wearing this for a few days now...
I wore this outfit for about 4 days straight... disgusting I know (oops). However, in my defense, I had to work all day everyday for like 4 days in a row... and I really like this look. I'm wearing a cotton pea coat by Fink that I recently bought at Urban Outfitters. It looks like a traditional pea coat but it's made out of sweatshirt material. I paired this with a maroon cardigan with gold buttons, my favorite XXL gray t-shirt, and a plaid wool scarf, all vintage. My briefcase is vintage Tumi. The jeans are Levi's and the suede boots are from J. Crew.
This ensemble was so comfortable that it actually felt like I was in my PJ's all day. I think the pea coat made it look a little more structured than it actually was, haha. The bag is sooo cool up close! It has all sorts of water stains and pen marks... clearly from the drunken board meetings it used to attend... I mean...
In other news, I haven't updated in almost two weeks because I've been celebrating the fact that... I GOT ACCEPTED TO MEDICAL SCHOOL!! Ahhh! I've been on cloud nine!
When I started the whole application process I seriously considered withdrawing my application because I thought I had no chance of getting in... especially after Dr. Wackerly, the head of the Biology major at UF, looked at my transcripts and asked me if I was "expecting to impress anyone with that?" Jerk...
Ok... now that I'm done having my celebrations every 5 seconds I'm going to update more frequently... pinky promise
bye lovers!
